Hey Guys,

First post here. Great site!

I'm looking for a roll up bed cover for my Short Bed '04 Dmax.

I've seen a few but haven't heard anything really positive about any of them.

Does anyone own one that they can reccomend?

thanks.

Hey, Gato Gordo. I have a Roll Access. Its my third tonneau cover. It attaches to truck, on a frame. To seal side edges, it velcroes the the frame for cover. It has two tabs, that prevent the cover from being rolled up, without getting the tailgate open. I've had it two years. Right now, I would buy another one.
On three tucks, I've had tonneaus on each one. Each one I had, keeps getting better. This one rolls up, two straps hold in place, in about 25-30 seconds. I like. $600 Canadian. They also installed at accesory shop.

MO - Thanks for the 411, but I'm looking for one of those secure roll up covers that are made out of aluminum or vinyl/aluminum

MP - That was one of my leading candidates. I'll do a search now. Thanks for the tip. They are new out here on the left coast so I haven't seen anyone with one.

Anyone else?

Anyone out there looking for a Roll Up Bed Cover. I have a Pace Edwards Trac Top still new in the box. Fits 99 to 04 short box Chevy or GMC. I also have a set of bed rail caps by Pace Edwards for the short box . The TracTop sells new for around $900.00 but am asking $600.00 for all.

I've looked at several different brands that include Roll-n-Lock, Pace Edwards and Retrax among others. I've chosen Retrax as the cover that will best serve my needs. We plan to tow a large 5th wheel RV Toy Hauler and require that the cover stay open (retracted into the container) sometimes for several hundred miles. Because of it's design, Retrax is the only cover I have come across that is not prone to scratching and scuffing itself while traveling with it in this open position. Other people I know have RnL and PE covers and, after this type of use, they close the cover back to the tailgate only to find scratches and scuffs that cannot be removed over the entire length of the cover. Definitely not a good thing!
