I had a rock chip after one week of ownership!! I also think that they look good, but I got mine more for the paint reason than anything. I guess that I think of them more as "protectors", than bug shields. Didn't do anything for bugs, but great for preventing chips as others have posted. That being said, I think the truck looks better without it, but needs protection. I'm going to apply an Invinca-Shield soon. Several members at the Diesel Page are very happy with the product. Previously I've used the lunds, but this time I tried a new style from Stampede. It sits a little higher than my Lunds did and does deflect bugs from the lower 1/3 of the windshield but once again, these are more for paint/looks these days then anything else. No rattle and no snow problems.
