Got my EFI Live a few weeks ago. Finally got around to playing with it last night for the first time. I've been trying to get my head around the thing to understand it. I was trying to scan and get all the 'ground work' done before I started tuning. I wasn't having much luck.

I was wondering if there was a Quick start guide to get a person familiar with what they're supposed to be doing?

Really there is no quick start guide but there are some tunes in the repository you may want to look at and some of your ?'s may be covered in other threads. If you can't find what you are lookin for ask away. Also you may find some info on the EFILive forum (http://forum.efilive.com/).

Well, lets say you get the program loaded on the computer, hook up the flashscan black box to the OBDII port, plug it into the USB port on the puter, enter the VIN and other info (SN, and codes, etc.,) hit the little green icon to connect to the vehicle....... then what?

I am working on a tuning guide and compiling all the data from the two forums and independant sources. Will not be done till May sometime though but stay tuned.

You need to select some PIDS to log. I know there is a good list of them on the EFI site Bobo posted (http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?t=2400).

Then go to the page that has all the PID's on it and click the little yellow button down on the bottom, that will start the communication and you will be able to see what is going on. The if you want to record I think you click the pause or play button.

Keeps asking away!
