I found a pretty nice 2004 black dmax with ONLY 5000 MILES! its got a 6" lift and 20" rims. I called a friend to see if he would be interested, he loves the truck except the lift and large tires.
Is it pretty easy to remove a lift? I installed a 4" on a toyota pickup along time ago. I am familiar with the process but would you recommend taking it to a shop to remove the lift?
Would anyone be interested in the lift, tires and or rims if he does buy this truck?
What would a shop charge to remove a lift?
Thanks in advance guys!

I think on the 6" lifts something is cut and welded on the front end. I can see a problem there but it also depends on the lift.

Ok how about maby replacing it with a 2" or 3"? He just doesnt want a huge lift. Manly the rims tho, he hates the rims.

I may be interested in the lift depending on how much it would cost and if it's not a cut components lift.

lift kits/rims and tires arent cheap, why would he want to take it off?
I think it looks much better, the rims aren't THAT bad.

I know the RCD 6" lift requires the "ear" to be cut on the drivers side diff mount.

Lower the torsion bars all the way and replace the spring, AAL, or blocks with less lift. My lift used to be a 6", now it is a 4":D

The rims and tires are too bling for me. I already have some nice
sim-locks. If I were him I'd leave the lift on it looks cool. BTW nice truck.

He hates the rims the most! lol He might have to check around for new rims.
OneTALLGMC96: Is it just as easy to buy a new 4" with the money from a 6" lift? How long did it take for you to drop your lift?
That truck isnt going anywhere cause its a private seller but dusty is looking pretty hard at it with only 5000 miles.
01duramax6spd: could you maby re sell those rims and tires? Do you want the lift for your truck?
Thanks guys
