The biggest difference is obviously you don't control boost on the LB7

that is what i was just looking at.....it shows i can raise the boost levels from what it shows in the prgram. he does alot more highway driving so i will see the affects much faster on his truck

It doesn't seem to affect anything on an LB7. It can't really.

I have yet to see any difference in boost levels by playing with those tables.

I wonder if the boost level chart would just stop the overboost codes for the LB7 if adjusted.

I wonder if the boost level chart would just stop the overboost codes for the LB7 if adjusted.

Please tell me that this is possible! Or if anyone has figured out how to disable the part-throttle overboost code, limp mode, and CEL that happens please post the solution here. Tired of limping it up a certain grade everyday.

What you need to do is at least log these things -
RPM, Main mm3 & Boost.
Then create a MAP in the scantool based on the map layout in B0504 etc, this will then plot your actual boost, from that you can see the differences. I showed Bobo this a while back and the difference between the expected and logged was BIG. I am not sure how it went with replotting the expected boost map. (This was an LLY)

Ok - so once there is a log - I am guessing that it would be especially important to log it under the conditions where the code usually gets thrown? - then you use that log to replot the expected boost. I get it (I think) but it seems to be an overly complicated method.

Are you sure there is no simple way to just disable that code and limp? I was hoping for a "disable the code" option or at least the option to widen the acceptable variance between expected and actual boost so that the code does not get thrown.

How does the PPE Overboost Code Eliminator work? How does Edge block the code?

Oh, the easy way out ;)
Look at C0801 - C0806.
Set C0806 to 43200 seconds, job done. The engine must then run for about 12hrs per IGN cycle before the boost test will run.
But where's the fun in that method :)

Ross

Thanks man! That sounds like what I was looking for.

So that table will tell the computer to not even check the conditions for boost map varience unless the engine is running for 12 hours straight?

Correct

I can't seem to find C0806. My Boost Diagnostic tables only go to C0805.

Why not put the C0802 Boost Test Min RPM at 4500 and have the test never run?
