after he and his wife got back from a 3 week, 12,000 mile towing trip across the country. The Ceramic double disc kit worked great, not grabby at all and his wife loved driving the duramax with the SBC kit a lot better than when it had the stock DMF!!
The install he did was documented and photographed and will show up in a Truckin article in a month or so.

Wow a dual ceramic not jumpy and better than stock from a wife's point of view, simply amazing!

Yeah. It actually feels like a real clutch rather than a Censored sponge. My Mom took mine for a drive one day with no instruction and has absolutely no complaints. I will buy another when I get another D-Max 6spd :exactly: .

My 19 year old sister drove mine with very little trouble. I myself am so used to it that I sometimes wonder if it is grabby enough. The way I see it, if someone has a vehicle with manual transmission in the first place, they obviously learned how to drive it at some point. And if they have the ability to learn how to drive a manual, they can surely get used to, without very much difficulty, the clutch being a little more grabby than stock.... JMHO

The little bit that I rode with JJGMC tells me that his is a bit jumpy. He says it seems to come and go. What we did was bump his idle to try and calm down the rattle. With the idle turned up he can rlease the pedal pretty quickly and not jump around a lot.
Now the noise with the pedal in is what I dislike. Sounds like a bad throwout bearing or if you are sharpening a putty knife on the flywheel...

Having driven three different clutch kits I have noticed that temp and humidity seem to have an impact on jumping or grabbing. On a few long stop and go drives it got pretty miserable.
I cannot prove why or as a fact, but . . . since I have had the Fluidampr mine seems to be smoother. I do know that the rpms don't bounce up and down nearly as much as they used to and they change a lot slower.
as to the 'putty knife sharpening' , well I guess some of us get used to it. I just keep the radio on :ro)

That's exactly right. the trade off it well worth a little noise. As John said turn your radio on and you won't notice it. :exactly:
