Man it sounds awesome!! Now it sounds like it is actually fast, guess I need to get busy on the mods. But sounds good so that is what counts. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Approve.gif

You either love it or hate it. I loved it.

I did it on my '02...loved it at first! Got sick of it real quick! Went and got a 4" system........................All I can say is I should have never bothered with the straight pipe. I got more bottom end and sounded like it should. You will see what I mean once you get off the wallethttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

I think I will like it, I am not going to drop coin on an exhaust system until I absolutely have to. Trying to keep it stock as possible. But time will tell as the mods go on.

I love the sound of my straight pipe also. Sounds very 454 ish to me. Towing something heavy for long distance can be annoying though.

If you get sick of it, try a muffler replacement. I swapped out the stock can for a 14" Magnaflow SS diesel muffler. Sounds good, not too obnoxious but louder than stock. I get a little resonance between 1600-1800 RPM. Just drive a little faster now.

Swap cost me less than $175 installed. Would have been cheaper if they would have shipped the right parts together. Looks good and sound good. A good welder could easily install on their own.

Might have to consider something like that should I get tired of this. Or I can just have the monster 5" system installed with a bigger downpipe and then I will have some serious sound.
