A friend just traded his 99 Ford for an 04 2500HD D/A. This guy has been a Ford man for YEARS! He likes the truck but is going through Power Stroke Withdrawal Syndrome. He feels like a traitor. What can I do for him?

Tell him to stick his head in the engine compartment for a while witht eh motor running. Though I'm not expert, I'd wager PSWS is directly related to the relative lack-of-noise in the Duramax.

There is nothing you can do. While I used to own a PS, I am not going through this withdrawl for the engine as I like the Duramax better. I am however going through this for the rest of the truck.

Tell him he will get used to driving past the dealerships instead of to them.
