Anybody ever use the Kleen-flo brand of diesel additive with their Dmax? Just wondering since the main brands you all mention ain't so easy to find up on the west coast. Thanks for all and any.

Merchant Atomotive, a vender here on the forum, sells additives. Camping World and Blue Ridge Diesel both sell Stanadyne, which is recomended by GM if you're going to use one, on the Internet as well as others at prices that are hard to beat. Why use a relatively unknown in such a fine and expensive machine?

Yes, you've got a very good point! My uncle who's a heavy duty parts guy on the big rigs told me about it with a heavy endorsement. That is why I ask, never hurts, and I make a more informed choice.

Make sure that whatever you use has no alcohol in it. All the Kleen-Flo that I have seen in my area has alcohol added to keep the ice out of the fuel lines. Alcohol is bad for our fuel systems.

Just go to your grocery store and buy a gallon of VO and pour it in before you fill up. Your engine will thank you.

I thought that VO was vegetable oil. Am I missing something?
