About 2 weeks ago the truck would shift in / out of OD, no SES light. I went ahead and checked for DTC and found I had a DTC 74 - Transmission Input Speed (TIS) Sensor Circuit. I replaced the sensor on the Drivers side trans case and the one on the transfer case. Both had over 230,000 miles on them. Haven't had the problem since... I done some more reading and found that there is another sensor on the Trans, and that the input / output are the same style and are interchangeable with each other. However I can only find 1 sensor on the drivers side trans case and nothing on the passenage side. The one I replaced is right next to the shift linkage, and where the main wire harness goes into the Trans. Can anyone tell me where the other sensor is? Did the 94' 4L80E only come with 1 sensor on the Trans case?

4X4s only have the input sensor on the trans case and the output sensor is on the transfer case. You can stop looking, you're fine.:D
