Hey guys, I am having troubles deciding what tires to run next. Currently I am running BFG Muds. I love the tire but I have to get a tire that I can get some more mileage out of and this past year I really didn't run into the need of a mud terrain tire that often, mostly highway mileage and light off-road nothing severe. I love the look of an aggressive tire but I just can't make up my mind. So I am wanting some opinions. This is what I am considering thus far any other suggestions are welcomed as well. Looking for pros and cons for all of the tires and how they stack up to each other.

BFG All-terrains
Nitto Terra Grapplers
Mickey Thompson the new ATZ
**** Cepek F-C II
Swamper Thornbirds

These are what I am considering what are your thoughts? Tire size for them will be or equivalent to a 285/75R16

I'm going with these when my 245's wear out. These are also "E" rated but since they're 265's they will increase my payload.

The bfg's will be the best bet. W/ a heavy truck I like to go w/ a good tow rating. I have toyos and they work well. The bfg's and toyos do not do good in mud at all though.

To make a mud tire last on a heavy truck you have to rotate the tires often.

I put BFG M/T's on my truck at 35k rotated every 5000 religiously and just broke 90k recently and still have 8/32 left out of the 21/32 when brand new.

Toyo MT, best tire I have owned. The last tire I owned was BFG KO. Plus they are E rated.

We replaced our BFG AT/KO's with Cooper Discover STT2's and love them. They are so much better on and off the road than the BFG's. They dig into mud like nothing, unlike the AT's.

These tires wear very well. I put 43,000 miles on a set on my 2004 and have plenty of miles left on them. I will be installing them on my LBZ.
