: How much damage was done?

So I just got my truck back on Thursday from getting new injectors. The question is… I never had any bad signs of the injectors – the only thing that happened is that it felt like it didn’t have the power it use to and then I noticed some hard starting, but Im guessing the I drover about 300 to 400 miles with it like that so most likely had diesel in the oil for that long. So how much damage was done???

I would say none, but I would definately make sure they changed the oil.:)

When my LB7's injectors failed they filled the crank case to overflowing and I drove it 300 miles in the mountains pulling a trailer... It was in Limp mode most of the way...

Did your crankcase fill to overflowing?

After they replaced the injectors I noticed a knock after the engine warmed up... Also I noticed a 10 lb oil pressure drop after the incident...

If you notice no new noises and the pressure is still the same I would agree with Rick and say your probably in good shape... :)

well THEY said they wouldnt change it but I did today so its got new oil now, and as for new noises - havent heard any yet and the crankcase was a little over the full mark but didnt look like it was too bad.

Do you still have the old oil?
I would send it in and have it tested... I don't do it that often but this is one time it would make sence to do so...

Wait a minute thinkenbig!! Are you telling me that GM replaced your injectors but didnt change the oil that was contaminated with diesel fuel???
You gotta be kidding me!!!!

Injectors can go bad without filling the crankcase with fuel.

Dont have the oil anymore, but that would have been a good idea...
and yes they did replace all 8 injectors and did not replace the oil that was in this case contaminated, but it didnt complain too much since i got the injectors done with no fuss.

thinkenbig, you posted that the oil level was only a little over full. If that was the case, there was not likely anything in there but oil! If you had posted it was way over full, we would have been more concerned for you.:)

rushhour, if you have to drive it any at all, I would suggest you change the oil first. Also don't drive i anymore then absolutely needed. Fill in your Sig so we know what you got!:)
