I can't believe that GM would not put lumbar in these trucks!! It is starting to hurt my back. I really don't want to put a pillow in there, so what other options do I have?? Can I add factory lumbar somehow?

My LT3 has it.

But the seats don't recline enough for a nice nap

Ya, I guess I should have went leather, but I don't care for the leather especilly up here in the cold climates.

There's the rub....
LT3 is heated too. Heck, even in California, I don't even bother with the heater... takes 20 miles to get any heat out of anything other than the seats.

I am really disappointed with my 06 seats. my 01 LS had the lumbar support. I ordered my truck thinking I was upgrading to the LT1 but the seats are cheaper then the 01.

GM screwed with the designations.
LT3 is what USED to be the LT.
LT2 and LT1 are various levels of "strippage" from the LT3.

Is the LS even available anymore?
The way they're going, in 5 years the LT1 will be the WT and the WT and LS will both be gone.

:exactly: I agree...It was a dumb move of GM to mess with the trim level designations. Its hard enough for dealers to keep it straight as it was. Now with LT1, LT2, and LT3, their heads will spin.

What was wrong with base, LS, LT?!?!

You can have my lumbar support, I hate it. Old back injury, you know. I love the heat though!

Huh Huh: I feel your pain!!! I had the same problem with my 03 LS, I just ordered an 06 LT with the 40/20/40 cloth that doesn't have lumbar!! I will be adding it aftermarket!! I have no idea how hard the install will be but I am going to find out!!:D A quick google search yielded some results!!

If I had known they deleted the lumbar support before I got my truck, I would have had them take the driver's seat out of my 2000. For my daily driving I don't miss it, but on longer trips it sure would be nice to have. Basically, for $250 I got a folding armrest upgrade in my LS truck. Stupid bean counters!

Didn't you see This (http://dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=65126&highlight=recline) it's still not the best but much better.

steelmastif: That is a good idea. Kinda like the idea of 4 way adjustment. kinda spendy, on sale even!

maybe I will see if I can get a set from an 03 or earlier. Which year is the best to go with? I read pre o3 with the air blader type was more comfy.
