Hello All,

This is my first post here so be gentle http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

I own a 2003 2500 4x4 diesel ( pruchased new March 31/04 ). Love the truck so far and this my first diesel.

Anyway, I was wonder if you guy's shift into neutrel at stop lights?

Why I ask is I have notced a bit more virbration while the brakes are depressed at stop lights....the vibration disappears when the brakes are released.

Now is not a big virbration by any means...it's more like the engine wants to "GO" and brakes are holding it back.

I assume its normal for such a powerful truck.

So anyway..just wonder if it's anything I shoud worry about?

Cheers

Look under your hood and see if the power steering hose has a big weight attached to it. Let me know. If it doesn't, there's a TSB on it that removes the old hose and adds the one with the weight.

The power steering hose would vibrate and send vibrations to the passenger compartment.

Here is the fix. Reading your post again, what you are experiencing could well be normal. The MIGHTY Cummins, with only six cylinders, does have a vibe on it's own.
