Limpin' the stock tranny bad for some time now and have saved up enough to rebuild. I am planning on running my Edge stacked with the Pred and wanted to make sure the Stage III will :grd: or if I should pony up for the IV. I don't plan on going any more than that as lift pumps and all that nonsense are not what I want and will get expensive fast. Also, anyone know what the protocol would be to get one done here in South Florida? Thanks!

Well it is better to over build than underbuild but a stage 3 will do that stack just fine. I think suncoast is in south flordia, that would be the best place to get it done. And worth the drive.

Thanks for the response! They're up in Fort Walton Beach on the panhandle, what's the deal, you ship to them, buy the kit and have a local shop do it? I'm 12 hours from them!

Ya if you don't have the tools and ambition to do it then it is best to get a shop to do it but shop around and ask if any have worked on an allison before as they are a different style of automatic transmission and I would only trust a shop that has had one taken apart before. A for getting from Suncoast, being so close order right from them and get the kit sent to you or even the shop. Maybe a Florida member from here will also have suggestions of a shop.

I've been running a SC Stage 2 for almost 2 years. I've stacked the Hot Attitude Edge and the Predator and have mainly been running the Kennedy Van Aaken 200+ box without any tranny issues at all.

Spend the extra couple of bucks, you won't regret it in the long run.

Really depends on your intended purpose. I spoke to Suncoast, told them what I would be doing with the truck, which is mostly all towing. Future mods to the vehicle and they recommended SCIII. With towing you can't really run the truck any higher then the tow programs because of EGT's, and for street racing I won't be using my 3500. The SCIII holds 500/900 to the rear wheels. Add in 15% drive line loss and you're at 590/1060 at the crank. That's more then I plan on. I figure towing the most I can safely go is 410/800 at the crank.

I went with the IV since the $$ wasn't that much more and I only wanted to go into this trans once.

Call Suncoast and see if they can recommend an installation shop in your area.

I have been holding more than that for almost 2 years.

Suncoast puts a great kit together, I am very happy with my SC-III and how much it holds.
