well i finally got my gauges installed. i need to know 2 things before i start. the first thing is what is the max PSI the turbo should run at before it goes boom. the other is what is the max EGT before the turbo melts down...

On a stock turbo I think anything above 32 psi is worthless and pushin it.
On EGT's many say it can run all day at 1300* anything over 1400* for more than a short period of time is asking for trouble.
Some guys are hittin 1800* but only for a very short amount of time, seconds.
Hopefully I'm close to correct, I'm sure several other will chime in.

what is the boost and fuel relationship when it comes to EGTs.

More boost = more power and lower EGT's as a rule.
More fuel without more boost = higher EGT's.

32 PSI is kinda worthless, I have read here that 28 PSI runs better than anything higher.

now if i lower fuel will cause less power. i am trying to make it use as little fuel without hurting power. right now i am making an economy unloaded tune. then i am going to work on a tow tune

Yes if you lower fuel you will get less power.

too much boost=less power also

If you are trying to reduce fuel to increase fuel mileage it won't work. You still need x amount of fuel to move the truck at y speed.

Reducing the fueling will help you use less fuel if you limit the amount that is on tap but it will also decrease the amount of power your truck will make.

If you want better fuel mileage start with increasing timing at cruising RPMs. To increase fuel mileage you need to increase efficiency.

makes sense.
