4-6-7 = average -2.3 -3.4
8 = is -3.6 -4.4
( 3 well sometimes go to +2.5 or higher )
It's going in monday cause its leaking oil like a b it ch :eek: , kinda wondering if diesel is seeping into the oil thinning it, tried smelling and white paper towel but i dunno, seems like usual diesel oil. Well let the techs check it out. They say shes on warranty so well see...
What do you think ?
CStone 04-20-2006, 07:41 PM checked mine this evening on the way home and they all read -0.82 while driving. Seemed odd to me that they all read identical values. I'm calling shenanigans, though I don't know what I did wrong.
6.6 Dmax 04-20-2006, 07:52 PM If I recall right...While the injector is open..it is gonna read the same while driving but when you stop and do it in drive it will be different....don't quote me...

using a predator programmer, diablo predator...don't know what else to say to explain it. almost everyone here knows about them.

Not too bad. #8 is getting into the grey zone. Do you run any fuel additives? If not you might try running a tank of fuel treated with an injector cleaner through and then recheck the balance rates.

Well thats another issue, and yes I do run alot of lubricity additives in every tank. But, should I ? I spend alot of extra money on lubricity additives and if this things on warranty why not let them die and get a new set if the new ones are better or not better.

Dmaxmachine 04-21-2006, 08:54 AM Ive read somewhere in the forums that the predator may not line up exactly with what a tech 2 would read. The post said somewhere in the range of 2points of difference. I was hoping this was false before i take my rig in and have them hook it up. If yours is so close to the grey area you may be better off waiting till they are a little farther off( if the predator really does read rates different)
brett6.6 04-21-2006, 03:33 PM IIRC floating between +-3.9-4.1 i believe gm considers this a failed injector at idle, before you hook it up rev the engine a few times, nothing major, kinda like your cleaning out a gasser! then hook it up.
03LB-7dmax 04-21-2006, 04:24 PM My friends, LLY had a +4.1 on my predator. Took it in and had it replaced, they said about +3 and up is getting bad.
