I have a 2004.5 LLY and had recently removed edge and boost stick to return to the dealer. I was getting white smoke out of the exhaust. (Only in drive stopped) They reflashed the comp. I was not completly confident with that being the problem, so I drove it for 3 weeks stock and had no problems. Put the edge back on today, set it to 5 and after a couple of times hard acceleration, I got a check engine light and the tranny stayed in 4th gear with the conv. unlocked. It was in tow/haul mode, I shifted it to rev. and back to Drive and it engaged very hard and was still in fourth. I unhooked the batterys for about 1/2 hour. Tried it again and the tranny shifted fine but I still have a check engine light. Any Ideas?

yeah you limped it after you start the engine drive it and shut it off enough times the light will go away. I just has to go through the cycle. level 5 is a bit much for a stock trans mine held it for quite a while now I can limp it in stage 3. It seems like after you limp it once it will become easier to do until the transmission is upgraded.

You drove it stock for 3 weeks and then put the edge back on and set to level 5 and hammered it?:eek: You didn't give the trans time to relearn the new power so no wonder it limped so easy. Keep doing that and you'll be putting in an upgraded trans because your truck won't move anymore.
