I've had the Hypertech, Bullydog Powerpup and now the Banks Six-Gun w/Speedloader. I like the Banks the most out of those three, mostly because of it's adjustability.

It a toss up between Edge and Banks, And depends on how much green your willing to burn.

I threw away my edge w/ attitude, others have had problems with banks.

If I find a slightly used banks setup for the right price I might give her a go.

I vote the Predator. The Edge will not correct the speedo.:(

I like the versatility of a handheld programmer. My vote goes to a PPE product. Mine works wonderfully well.

I've had Edge, PPE and Predator. Edge had too many issues for me and the drivability just wasn't there. Adjustability was nice though. Predator has the nicest drivability amd smoothest power IMO. PPE has the most power but not quite as drivable as the Predator. My current setup is the Predator 2.02 on 65 with a Boost Stick. I haven't felt the need to change it in months. I tow with it, drive with it and the performance is fine for 90% of the time.

I've had all in my Sig also and my vote goes to Edge. No, it does not correct the speedo, but it displays correct speed on the unit. Nice feature to extend your warranty with bigger tires installed. If you are shopping on price, Predator is good, but watch your EGT's because you have no guages (Edge has them with safety features built in). PPE was just too touchy at the pedal. Can't comment on Banks other than we have all ripped on Scotty for merely having it. I am currently using a Kennedy Race ECM and my Edge for guages - no contest for the formentioned.

I love my Edge.NO issues and it runs great.

Harness boxes can't do speedo correction and they increase power by fooling the ECM. Why play games with the ECM when you can program it for your needs. Harness boxes suck!

EFILive is the way to go, either buy the software and make the adjustments youself or do as Forest Lake LLY did and buy a custom tune based on EFILive fro one of the tuners around here.

There is no easy answer to this ?. I had the Edge first and loved it. So far next to EFI it was the best Power enhancer I ran on my truck. The Predator (1.0) was nice but my truck never shifted properly with it. Now it's just a code reader and I sold my edge. I can not say anything one way or the other about the Banks setup since I've never owned it.

If I were you I'd see about borrowing one of them and trying them out before purchasing. Maybe a member here lives close to you that is willing to lend you theirs.

So there you have it. A concensus! ...and the clear winner is..."to each his own". :D

I think that multiple (at least 2) selectable programs is the most basic, agreeable option. Each programmed power level has it's own benefits as well as shortcomings. Each driver has their own perception of what is acceptable and what is unacceptable. The trade off (currently) with switch-on-the-fly is that you give up the code reading, tire size adjusting, etc. capabilities that a hand held programmer offers and vice-versa. As it matures, I think EFI Live will offer the best of both worlds...IF you want to put the time in to programming your own blend OR the exchange database grows with decent "donations" OR EFI Live eventually comes with some included, proven loads. Until you are ready to enter that world (and MANY have/are) then it's still a compromise no matter what you choose.

No need to learn anything about tuning or wait for a free tune, you don't have to buy EFILive to enjoy the features, you can simply buy an EFILive based tune from Kennedy Diesel or Trippin. You say you want switchable, then you want EFILive's DSP2, two power levels that are switchable, on the fly. FYI, I have been running Kennedy's 190/150hp tunes for about 8 weeks and I haven't moved off the 190 setting for probably 7 weeks. Not even when towing!

The only compromise around here happens when you buy something besides an EFILive based tune. Period
