Just made a 426 mile round trip to Scotts Bluff NE to see my Mom for Easter. I had the time so I decided to drive at 2000 rpm (67 mph) to see what the milage would be. It was a nice day with very little wind. Pulled down 19.5 measured. :eek: At the price I paid for fuel (2.699) it saved around $10 for that trip, not real sure the extra hour was worth it but now I know. :)

There aren't many stations at that price, most are in the 2.80 - 2.90 range and moving up. Not really looking forward to what it will be this summer when I have the camper and boat behind me.

up until last Thursday the local Wal-Mart had diesel for $2.39, $2.36 if you used a Wal-Mart Credit card or gift card.

Now it is $2.69/2.66

Still beats the $2.76 + I am seeing at all the stations and truck stops.


Best I have gotten with mine was 19.85 @ 65MPH just a shade under 2000 RPM

Diesel went from $2.35 to $3.03 since last week here.

Its $2.99 out here in the Hudson Valley area of NY.
