my pulling association tried adopting those rules but then they realized that none of us were going to take our everyday trucks and do that. We basically only have 1 diesel class though, so it does make a difference I guess. Sorry I couldn't help with your question but had to add my 2 cents.

Quad get in touch with RyanU (here or KYDTR.com) as he is from KY and can likely point you in the right direction. You can also look at Michael Tomac's (mtomac on here and kydtr) webpage for ideas and mods he has done. IIRC, he has a little blurb about his shutoff.

Off topic, where you live? I'm over in Bowling Green now but grew up in Frankfort and am about to move to L-ville. I take it you are going to Owenton Pull. I don't expect many to be there with those kinds of rules, just too strict IMO. Not to take away from that event as it is for a good cause - Fire dept. - there is a Test-n-tune in Clementsville as well this weekend. I've been told it is free admission for pullers and spectators. Limited to 2 or 3 hooks depending on number of participants and it will be somewhat classed for etting the sled set up properly. Again more info. on both these pulls can be found over on kydtr.com

If you have a lift pump that is the gear pump variety, you could probably just kill the power to it, and it would starve the motor. They don't flow through very well at all.

Nope no lift pumps, i was thinking about maybe going from the ecm fuse to a fuseable link then to a switch with a pull cable attached, back to the other leg of the fuse in the ecm slot. so when the cable is pulled it will shut power off to the ecm.

My idea i had ended up working, but i used a marine seadoo kill switch in place of the toggle switch. And it was mounted to the bumper w/ a plate i made up.

Not to Good, We ran 2hi on the track a it really killed us. We never broke 3000 rpms, at the end of the track the truck just barely hit 3000. but you live and learn, we will do better next time though. still a great time! did you end up going?

Nope, I honestly didn't think many trucks would show due to the rules so I thought it would have been a lost cause. Looks like I was wrong as there was evidently a nice turnout. Oh well, I have all summer to see pulls.
