something ain't right, unless they changed the QS quite a bit. It required a wider rear track to the point that it was a DOT requirement that they put clearence lights on the cab.....don't see any lights on the cab?

it fits to be a Duramax, well of course the badging says so, but the RPM's on the guage by the Speedometer are correct. I think the guys has a nut loose behind the wheel.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clown.gif

Quadrasteer requires cab lights and fender lights.

It's not a QS... We'll at least not when you look at the last 2 photos.

The QS trucks are required to have the rear quarter panel and overhead marker lights due to the overall width of the truck. I believe this is a DOT requirement.

I don't see any marker lights on the outside of the truck....

Buyer beware.....

You can get quadrasteer on a duramax, I seen it in a Chevy flyer right from the dealership.

Not that I don't doubt you that you seen it, but GM can be guilty in showing pics and there not true. For example: in the brochure they will show a picture of the interior of a LT 4X4 and that is what the caption says, however there is no push button or floor shift for 4-wheel drive. I know its petty crap but they have been known to do things like that. And I will never buy one, but I have never seen a 3/4 ton qudrasteer(except Suburban) nor with a Duramax.

I think the guy is yankin our chain.

It had the quadrasteer buttons on the dashboard. It could be pics of more than one truck if the guy is putting on a big ruse here. If he's telling the truth, and actually has a quadrasteer duramax, I will be royally pissed. I delved into this situation very deeply before I bought my truck and was told by 4 different fleet managers that the quadrasteer was absolutely not available with the duramax or even the 8.1 litre gasser. I was more than willing to order one and wait if I could. The quadrasteer is unbelievable. I hope this is a big put-on.

This joker just went to the dealer and took a bunch of pics. For one thing the leather on the driver side is a different leather than the passenger side (light pewter versus very dark pewter). The door frame is also black on the passenger interior shots, where the driver side is white.

If you are going to fool someone, at least take the time to do it right. He must need the bragging rights to have a new truck for some ridiculous reason.

BTW...... THE QUADRASTEER IS NOT AVAILABLE WITH A DURAMAX!!!!!!! ALSO NOT AVAILABLE IN GVWR of 9200LBS (as the sticker says).

Later.

If it's true why doesn't he have the entire window sticker photographed, with his pictures you can't tell what he really has.

The QS Axel cannot handle the TQ of a Durmax or 8.1...it's simple. If you see the 14 and not the 12...it's not a QS. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif A good question for him: Who makes the QS Axel? Once that is learned you could call the Mf and ask them the TQ limmit of the axel. Also, remember that 8.1's and Duramax trucks "do not have full-time 4WD" or "Auto" 4x4 modes. ..... Oh, and they do have low range that can split the medium chuncks in half.

There are more than two trucks shown in these pictures. Besides the two differant color interiors, on the third page of pics there are two different white trucks photographed. Top one has Dmax badge, bottom one doesn't, nor are either of these two trucks the one photo'd with the QS buttons.

Straight from Chevy's website:

http://www.chevrolet.com/silverado/quadrasteer.htm

You can get it with the dmax, in a commercial truck.

Either Im missing something or turbospl311 is. Where does it mention that it is available with the DMax? It says its available on the 2500 crew cab. Not the 2500HD crew. The 2500 crew uses the same frame as the 1500 ext. cab but with a shortened bed I believe. Not an HD truck and not available with the DMax. I personally wouldn't want it if it was available though. A gimmick in my opinion.Edited by: maynard9089
