Hey guys
Bought a 2002 2500 dura last monday. Was replacin some interior bulbs and installing my old prodigy when i found a small toggle switch mounted to my emergency handle bracket. One little wire looks to hook up to power in the fuse box and the othergoes through the fire wall and into a lower box between the powersteering pump and bottom of the drivers side battery. The wire to the fuse box is disconected.

Thanks

High idle. Turn it on and press set twice on cruise control.

If this wire is going to the ECM, Connector1, pin 71, it’s Fast Idle as Max said.
If you want to wire it back up, most would suggests throwing the switch away, and connect this wire coming from the firewall, to the Brake Stop Switch, pin F, (on end of connector), which is a Dark Green/White wire. The Brake Stop Switch is actuated off the Brake Peddle.
Depress cruise control Set pushbutton twice after startup to elevate idle to 1200 RPM. Depress Resume to elevate idle to 1750 RPM.

Excellent for jumpstarting. Will jumpstart and charge another vehicle very quickly. Works great to start big tractors in the winter.
