I am looking for information & recommendations on mirror replacements.

I managed to damage my driver's side mirror yesterday evening. The OEM mirrors I have are the power-extending (not folding) towing mirrors. They also have power adjustments, and built-in turn signal indicators.

The glass is not cracked, but I sure did break some of the mounting plastic behind the mirror. The outside housing is also cracked.

Does anyone make an aftermarket power-extending mirror?

Thanks for your help!

I dont think anyone makes a power extending mirror other than GM...you might want to look into the TTT mirrors tho. Lots of guys have them and theyre awesome for towing.

I installed the '06 tow mirriors on my '03.

Plug and Play, no mod.

Great towing mirror.

FWIW.

If you are swinging by Houston anytime soon I'll sell you my power extending '05 mirror I took off of mine.

The TTT mirrors look good, and they darn well better be at that price!
Are they available anywhere for less than full suggested retail price?

RTToys - I won't be in Houston anytime soon. Which mirrors are they and how much you want?

Check out Camping World. They list a set that look identical to my '04 Trailer Tow mirrors, right down to the built in turn signal.

Well, I bit the bullet and ordered the TTT mirrors.
$550 for the 1020 model, including the miltiplex wiring harness (1090) and free shipping.

I saw them for the same price at other sites, though they did NOT include the required 1090 harness and charged for shipping.

So long as I was going to spend a few hundred to fix the crunched mirror, I figured I'd go with the full upgrade and get the TTT mirrors. I have not been thrilled with the OEM mirrors I have had:
- They vibrate & 'rattle'
- The sight picture is smaller than I like, especially from the flat passenger mirror.

That harness is key. It's really expensive when it doesn't come with the mirrors. You're gonna love those things :D
