Anyone done this? One of my fan blades are broken from collision and I can't seem to hold the pulley tight enough to get the clutch loose. Should I be turning it clock wise or counter clockwise?:wtf1:

Counter clockwise I think. A wrench and a big hammer is needed to remove the clutch hub from the pulley. Sort of an old fashioned impact wrench. There is also a special adapter kit for an air chisel if you can afford it. From there it is easy.:)

Try holding it with channel locks. Use two people. What ive done. And yes, counter clockwise.

Lat time I did it I replaced two pulley bolts with studs then wedged a pry bar between the studs. Seemed to hold okay and made getting the fan off pretty easy.

We just held the pulley by hand and kept hitting the wrench. We thought it was never coming off. Then it popped loose like it was never tight to begin with!:)
