I have had this done to an 88' S-10 Blazer to prevent the cancer of the quarter panels. So far it works.

I used Line-X on mine. Sprayed the inside of the bed, rockers(higher than this) steps, front and rear aftermarket bumpers. This is the second truck I've done this on and I love it! Keeps the rock chips off the dually flares and dings out of the doors. Goes just high enough that the shopping cart can run right into it with no harm done.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif

I wanted to do it but they told me it would eventually fade, even if clear coated. They warned me away from doing it. Said it cant be un-done once done.

PC,

Not true. 'anything' done to metal can be fixed for $$. The Rhino lining is less sturdy than the Line-x but it can be preserved with a chemical which they sell to prevent fading. I have seen lots of pics of rocker panels Line-xed. Infact, once I get my Bushwhacker Cut-Out flares installed I am going to get the flares and the rocker panels sprayed as well as the wheel wells.

Cheers,
