Hi,
My 2001 2500HD (EC SB 4x4 dmax/allison) began making a rhythmic chirping squeal noise today under acceleration. It seems to be a function of road and not engine speed, disappears when cruising but appears when starting from a stop (a couple of chirps per second increasing with vehicle speed) and can be made to reappear at cruising speed by moderate pressure on the accelerator (where it is a very rapid continious chirping sound). Of course I am now about 3 months out of the drivetrain warranty :(
Otherwise, it has had the instrument cluster replaced early due to a gauge problem, one reflash, and otherwise flawless. Any hints before I head for the dealer.
