I just put my Egde Juice with Attitude monitor back in my truck. I'm getting very high egt reading at about 1000 rpm 1500 to 1750 degrees! The alert is going off. I have it set at 1300 degrees. The truck just went off warranty. I bought it in March 2001 and it has 68,000 miles on it. I had it at the drealer last month for a noise in the back of the motor but they didn't find anything. The trucks running great. There is no code or warning lights. I'm going to be towing my 13,00 lbs 5th wheel trailer next week. I don't want to blow my turbo! Has anyone gotten false raeding from their Attitude monitor? I'm going to stop by the dealer to see if they can get a reading of my egt's on their scan tool. I have the Edge set on level 1 and the low boost set at 2. I was thinking of getting a new pyro gauge to make sure the readings are right. Has anyone had a problem like this? Thanks for any help in advence! I have a 4" Borla high flow exhaust. The oil was just changed and the fluids are all full.

I found the problem this morning. I had a bad wire on the temp probe. I fixed the wire and the temps stayed a 300 degrees at idle. I disconnected one of the wires to see what would happen. The temps went from 300 degrees to 1046 degrees at idle. Well its fixed and I'm glad it wasn't the turbo!!
