Whats up guys, Small problem. Two weeks ago I purchased a hyper tech for mu 05 LLY, installed it in levell 2 ran great. A week latter I decided to try levell 3, ran great for two days, then all of a sudden not towing or driving hard check eng light came on. I checke codes, got P1093 and P1621. Don't really know what they mean. Anyhow I kept reseting to stock, but truck kept falling on it's face. Couldn't go over 2000 RPM had no power. Even reseting back to stock after a few hundred yard it would come up again. Long story short took it to the dealer they claimed it was a pluged fuel filter charged me $135.00 I was out the door, and everythin was ok. Two days latter I put hypertech back on it in levell 3 ran good for a day. Next day went to pass someone on the highway, it happend again wasnt towing anything. Whats going on. Is this hyperteck killing my truck? It seems everytime I put it on something happens. Truck barely reached 15000 miles over the weekend. Is it the truck or the porgrammer? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

2k rpm's is a sign of limping..safe mode basically. The code meanings can be found in the FAQ at the top or by searching for them directly.

Had similar problem, but i have no mods... First fix was the fuel filter, didnt help... well only helped for 30 miles or so. Next the dealer replaced the Fuel pressure regulator... still no fix. Finally they replaced the fuel pressure relief valve in the fuel rail... GOOD AS NEW!!!
the 1093 code deals w/ fuel rail pressure not sure about the other one??
Only problem was it took them a week to figure out what was wrong!! Sucks driving a Canyon when your used to a 2500 quad cab

Took truck to the dealer today. Ill let you know what they say, when I get it back. I hope I dont have to return the tuner really liked the way it ran when everything was running great. Im new to this diesel stuff so don't really know how the tunner may have affected if any on this problem.

Do the sigs! Anytime you push 85hp+ gain with any tuner, you're risking a limp mode.

I've had the Hypertech installed for about 2 mos & 3k miles so far, no issues on level 2. Truck runs like a top..:)

Holy cow...
An ECM won't stop 1093's.
Your ECM is not likely to be bad either. All they need to do is reflash it at the most.
1093's come in two flavors:
Normal - this is usually a dirty fuel filter or near empty tank.
Tuner caused - Rail pressure spikes, and dumps rail pressure through Pressure Relief Valve.
You really should avoid dealers if you are playing with tuners. Most don't know how to fix the problems tuners cause.

Hey McRat I just realized you're in Corona, Im in Riverside maybe if you wouldn't mind I could call you on the phone and you can help me out with info If you don't mind. The problme is I was getting the P1093 and P1621 even when I put it back to stock mode. The mechanic at the dealer is a friend of mine so I know he'll change as many parts as he needs to.
