I'd like to wire the 12v interior cap light (an option on the A.R.E caps) to the cargo light switch on the dash of my 05' Sierra 2500HD.

Any suggestions?

The cargo light switch is really a grounding switch. There is some googd info here:

Some of it is not exactly what you are planning to do, but it is close enough that you should be able to get everything done.
