: Superlift dealer recommendation?
Derek M 04-10-2004, 01:46 PM Looking for a Superlift dealer to order a rear block/ubolt kit Superlift PN# 3897. Local 4wheelparts retail shop doesn't know how to order anything they don't stock, nor can can call a customer back. The two guys I talked to earlier this week aren't there now, so they're totally lost in what to do. Summit Racing acted as if I was inconveniencing them by calling them on Saturday cause they didn't have pricing for the item.
I'm just looking to give a business $60 for a rear block/ubolt kit. If anyone knows of a SuperLift dealer that might want my money and can say, "Yes sir I can get that for you" or "Yes sir, I'll order that for you" please recommend now. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif
DinoMax 04-10-2004, 04:56 PM Derek M, can't you get it directly from Superlift? I know they have a website www.superlift.com (http://www.superlift.com) I would go to the site, or give them a call direct. If you can't order from them, they should be able to direct you to a dealer. Good Luck, DinoMaxhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gifhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif
Derek M 04-10-2004, 05:22 PM DinoMax, Tried to order from superlift direct and got told that I can only get their stuff via a dealer. That's why I called 4WheelParts enquiring about the blocks/ubolts on Wednesday. Superlift's online store only has T-shirts, hats and etc available. I call Superlift again on Monday to see if they can point me to a dealer that can get me get me some Superlift product.Edited by: Derek M
sp33d 04-10-2004, 05:29 PM Derek,
Get in touch with the guys at performancelifts.com. They don't list the part you are looking for but they sell Superlift kits so I am sure they could get you the part.
I am purchasing a Rancho skid plate for my truck and noticed they had a few Rancho kits on their site, but the skid plate wasn't listed... I sent a quick email and about an hour later I received a reply with a price (which was cheaper than any local store by about $100 and the cheapest I could find on the Internet) and they said they could ship it the same day. Shipping wasn't a big deal as all the local shops wanted to charge me shipping as well (none of the local shops stock lift kits at all - everything has to be ordered and shipping is charged on EVERYTHING). I have yet to purchase the skid plate as I am also working on buying some Bushwacker flares from them (just been trying to figure out what exactly I want and what will fit our trucks), but they have answered every question of mine quickly and I will be buying from them this week.
Good luck!
Chad

8.1GASSER 04-10-2004, 10:56 PM Just ordered a set of blocks from 4WheelParts in Ca. last week had what I was looking for in stock and shipped that day.
Just curious how tall of a bloc comes with the 3897 kit?

GMC2500HD 04-10-2004, 11:01 PM Give these guys a call, Trucks Unlimited 281-485-7003. They can hook you up.
Derek M 04-11-2004, 12:05 PM 8.1Gasser, The 3897 is a 2.5" block. I'm trying to use this block combined with Velvet Rides to keep my height the same with my currently installed 1.5" blocks. Wish I had your luck with my local 4wheelparts....http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif
Derek M 04-11-2004, 12:15 PM sp33d, Mailed performacelifts.com yesterday and got a response within an hour. That's unheard of judging from the response times of my previous experiences with other aftermarket and performance places of businesses. Usually mail goes unanswered.
The response was also surprising in that they asked questions about my application, what I was attempting to do, etc. I replied back explaining my intentions. So far so good..... http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif
sp33d 04-11-2004, 12:24 PM And it was a Saturday http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cool.gif I'm sure they'll treat you right.
Derek M 04-14-2004, 03:38 PM After a good first impression, ordering through performancelits.com seems to be a bust. I confirmed through SuperLift that PN# 3897 was the correct application for a 2.5" block. Called performancelifts.com twice in the afternoon on Monday, ring no answer. 3pm PDT called and got a VM greeting asking to leave a message and I did. On the VM I let my intention known that I of the part number I wanted and that I had confirmed the part was correct for my application. I finished by leaving my call back number. Tuesday morning sent an email to performancelifts.com repeating what I had left on the VM the day before. It's now Wednesday and nothing.
Another suggestion in the thread above was Trucks Unlimited. Called them up spoke with Nick, 5 minutes later block/ubolt kit is ordered and on the way to my casa. Damn I actually succeed in giving money to a vendor for product.... what a concept....
Good job Trucks Unlimited.... Edited by: Derek M
sp33d 04-14-2004, 05:41 PM I too noticed a delay with performancelifts.com. I sent an email to them Friday asking for them to call me to place the order... Two emails later, they called me today. Took care of the order. If I were in a hurry, I would have bought them somewhere else... But, they showed very good service up to Friday so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Plus, they were far cheaper than anything else out there. I didn't ask but I assume there was a reason they were delayed in returning our requests.
At any rate, glad you got your parts Derek. Sorry these guys didn't work out for you...
