Installed the EGR Blocker Plate today. Boy do we have it made compared to the Light Duty Truck owners, as far as accessability to the EGR.
Below is a picture of the location where the Blocker Plate is installed.
This picture is looking in through the Dog House. No firewall in our way. ):h

Yeah, and it makes it easier to drill out the broken bolts when you snap them off! Don't ask me how I know.  :banghead:
Now go to the other end and make a plate for the intake tube to block off the intake and you will see an increase in throttle reponse.

J-M,
Are you talking about the other end of the EGR Assembly?
I believe that on that end there are 4 vertical bolts and two ports.
Do you have any pictures?

I think by other end, he means where the EGR assembly tees into the aluminum intake pipe. The gasket looks like a big thermostat gasket. And it would be a PITA to get all the EGR bolts loose enough to lift the EGR up high enough to slip a blocker in there. I think there are 4 bolts holding the EGR down and 2 more that sandwich the gasket to the intake. The 2 on the backside, toward the turbo, are the hardest ones to get at. At least on a Kodiak. The blocker plate would also have to be larger than the blocker plate on the 'normal' end.
