Went to check the fluids yesterday and couldn't get the hood to release. Inside pull all the way out even with an extra pull on the cable. NOTHING!!! Any tricks, or am I doomed to a trip to the dealer?

Try having someone push down on the hood at the same time your pulling on the hood release ....


Could be gummed up by the white grease used or out of adjustment ...

Tried your idea, but no go. No movement or noise at the latch. Feels like a broken cable or maybe the end came off.
