Please indicate what generation motor you have and if you are towing or not, or if you have any special mods that might influence the mileage. With fuel costs the way they arehttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif it is becoming more importanthttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Thumbs Down.gifhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Thumbs Down.gifhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Thumbs Down.gifEdited by: CTD 600

My mileage meter has been up as high as 21.5 on a highway trip last weekend. Normally hangs on 17-18.5

Yes, Kawasaki makes a diesel KLR650 for the military. It might be just what you need.

Very intresting!!!http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif Now i'm excited about the Kawasaki. It looks like a blast to ride both on the street and out in the woods. I WANT ONE!http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cool.gifhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cool.gif

The single headlight is surprisingly powerful. It has a four-stroke, 584-cubic cm engine and is designed to run on a hybrid military diesel fuel that will be used in all NATO military battlefield vehicles. It can be equipped with infra-red headlights, as well as withstanding extreme temperatures. Hayes modifies Kawasaki KLR 650 frames for use with the JP-8 motors.

My Dodge is a 04.5 with 6 spd and 3.73 gears. First tank was 17.3, second tank was 17.0, both hand figured. No towing yet and no mods. Larvhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Approve.gif
