I am looking at getting the Carr steps for my crew cab. The single 10in ones. Has anyone had a problem with them breaking under too much weight? Im in the 230 range and dont want something that will break and do not want a full length step. Thanks

I checked out the carr website and here is a question and quote concerning weight restrictions:
What is the weight limit for the Carr Hoop II and Super Hoop steps?
"Because of variables that are out of our control we do not have a set weight. However, these steps are extremely well designed and built for rugged use when installed properly with handling heavy loads in and out of your vehicle. "
I recently purchased the 20" hoops for my truck and the dealer told me that these will handle loads up to 300 pounds without a problem. They are going on my truck Monday and they appear fairly solid. If not, I will found out the hard way as I tip the scales at 250.
