last year my truck ran a 13.4x at the strip. last two times ive been to the strip only managed to get a 13.8x out of it. only difference, new to me turbo and ppe boost enhancer was installed last year. noticed today boost is about 20 lbs at wot not sure which gear it was in. i never remembered to look and see what boost was last year. am i just down on boost some? i had my best 60' this year but time is still down....i had 2.? 60' ft last year but a 13.4x et. this year im pullling 1.87 60' but et is down and mph is 2 mph slower...

You should run about 30PSI boost at sustained WOT. This level is considered safe. Also check for codes.

take off your intake manifold, and see if it's getting all plugged up with soot.

Unless BDPowered has an EGR LB7(which I doubt) he doesn't have EGR. Has the new turbo ever made normal boost #'s on the street, as compared to your old turbo?

I'm referring to his user name BullydogPowered. I'm a lazy typer so I abbreviate when I can.

it acts like the other turbo did, bout 5lbs on the highway cruising, jumps quick to 15 to pass someone. it sounds good. think it is just newer and not "broken in" as much?...my old one went at 100,000, i bought this one used but it may only have 30,000 or so miles on it? or do i just need to get the boost increaser from PPE again? truck is not sluggish normal driving, its just down when i run the 1/4...im guessing that i just need the increaser because im pretty sure it would go above 20 on the street when i had it installed

I see 33 with mine, and hit 25 quite often just accelerating, you should see more than 20 without the increaser.

34 is when they blow up, id be careful if youre that high....so you dont have any wastegate mods at all?

Could have a WG going to crap on you. If you have the stocker?

thats with you saying your drasticly down on boost. Could be just a bad day at the track etc. How do the rest of the slips compare?

Does it smoke more then usual? If so I would say a bad wastegate which you could check with a regulated air supply. If not I would say a fueling problem and I would start with changing the fuel filter then look for codes.
