:help2: I have a 2003 GMC and it only has 69000 miles on it and my DMF is making The Infamous Rattle when the clutch is slightly pressed I was wondering about Warranty and I did not think they would cover the Clutch/Flywheel I do not have the Extended Warranty but is it true that the 100000 mile Engine warranty will cover it??????? has anyone had this taken care of outside the 3yr 36,000 mi warranty without the EXT Warranty?

Yes, my 100,000 mile engine covered the flywheel. Clutch was done on my bill.

It is covered by warranty till 100,000 miles but I believe you pay a 100 deductible after the 3yr/36,000 period.

FLy wheel is covered till 100,000 not sure about the 100 bucks but i think its true. and if you choose to replace the clutch and presure plate its on you!!!!

Talked to the dealer yesterday and I am going to get the DMF Replaced for a $100 Deductable and since they are goign to be in there I am having the Clutch Disc, Pressure plate and Throwout Bearing replaced Labor free because it will be all apart anyway for a total cost of 515 sounds like a good deal to me...

I thought it was pretty good when my dealer did the same.

They are doing mine flywheel now. They first told me $500.00 bucks and some change and I not thinking, told them to do it. I called the dealer this morning told him I want a new clutch kit but I am not paying for it. When ever the flywheel is invovled you have to replace the clutch or when replacing the clutch you have to install a new flywheel or have it turned to insure correct wear. So why should I pay for something that doesn't need to be replaced??? Well the short answer is I'm not!! This is bull****!!! I am wrong?? Has any one else ran into this.
