I ran across this site while searching for my C5500.
Lots of great info available here, thanks to all.
I will pick up my truck the first week in May, its a 4x4, 513 gears,60"cab to axle crew cab with all the power options. Block heater, chrome upgrades, etc..
I have not picked out a bed yet, so I will be looking for opinions.
I have been pulling 23,000lbs daily with my Dodge, and I and my Dodge have had enough.
Some concerns right out of the gate are the trans., rated for 620 and the duramax puts out 605 (torque). Has this been a weak point with these, and how do they react to power upgrades?

If you add any more than 50 to 100 hp to the truck,look into tranny upgrades that will allow you to put as much HP !! to the the rear wheels as you want..

Suncoast converter is one of the more popular places to start I belive they are in the panhandel of Florida,and many guy's and gal's on this site have used them with great success.
