I'm stock with the front T bars cranked up to even it out. Can I get away with putting 315/70/17's on it or are they too big? 05 crewcab 4X4 Duramax.

Probably depends a lot on wheel width and backspacing, my 325's in my sig don't rub the bumper or fenders, but when turned lock to lock they rub the upper a arm and anti sway bar

I'm guessing it's something you just put up with because you like the look? I know it's pushing the limit without a lift and I could settle with 295's on 16's but, those 315's on 17's sure would look good......

They wouldn't fit on mine without touching on level ground. My 305's clear fine, and they're only .6" shorter according to the math.

Just put 285/75R16 Dayton AT's on AR 16x8 rims and I had to trim quite a bit for rubbing. I trimmed plastic bumper trim, mud flaps and driver side wheel well in front for tires to clear. I still have some rub on drivers side wheel well in rear when I turn sharp to the left. My torsion bars are cranked up. So don't believe everything you hear when they say they will fit without any problems. I guess every tire is different.

05 max,
I e-mailed smudge122 some pices of mine with clearance and fender well. If you like I can send you them to you.

I have 285's on stock rims now and no clearence problems at all even when I turn all the way in either direction. Just seems like I have room to expand if I can. Always good to get input from all of you before I spend more money.

I had an 04' Dmax before I traded it for a new 05' and there really is more room for bigger tires. I'm assuming that is the difference between your truck and mine? Maybe I will just settle for the 295's and leave the 315's alone as I have no intention of lifting... Thanks

There's gonna be a lot of tire rub with anything close to stock wheels and no lift. I had 315/75/16's on 16x8" wheels on my '01 2500 'burban with
RCD 6" lift. I still had to trim the front fenders.

05max, the 295's should look good. I believe they're taller than 305/16. I thought about running some if i hadn't moved to 17's
