: Cool Slogans for Duramax
onesmokindmax04 04-09-2004, 10:49 AM They all have the slogans...
Powerstroke.... Strokin it and Cummins has some (dirty) ones out there
Has anyone been able to come up with a cool slogan for the Duramax yet??????
Here's some we have come up with, but not quite trendy enough for our taste:
Push it to the Max
Not Strokin', Not Cummin'... just gotta be Max'in
--getting the pee on ford for the left back window, pee on dodge for the right back then the duramax sticker in the middle
Like a Rock, Durmax Diesel
I dunno, we're a little stumped!!!
I highly recommend getting ahold og the GM discount when ya buy new.. we did, and it made a BIG difference!
Lets just say sticker price was $46,000... after GM discount it was $38,000... then with trade in ($11,500) and other rebates.. truck fest($1,000) GM certificate rebate($1,000) the plus tax and the extended warranty.. we financed only $31,000
pretty darn good!
see ya!
motovet 04-09-2004, 02:38 PM Anything but the pee on stickers..... we have nothing to prove. We know we have the LT diesel on the road. Nice price!! By the way my plates read MAXTOUT.
ShumDit 04-10-2004, 01:26 AM I avoid the "Like a Rock" as the comeback is Crock ~

I take things too serious? LOL, you're the one all bent out of shape over a harmless little taunt. It's not necessary for anyone to explain the difference in what you wrote compared to the original post because this is a Duramax forum, not a Cummins forum. I believe you were complaining during a thread in the Cummins forum that all the mean Chevy guys were over bothering your forum. The phrase, 'can dish it out, but can't take it' comes to mind. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif

O I C, it's ok for you to post for a little fun, but when somebody tries to tease you back, they've got the problem. Teasing and all bent out of shape are two different things. Furthermore, where did you see me say I didn't like your slogan? Methinks the loud rattling coming from under your hood has loosened a screw or two (not on the truck either). http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Tongue.gif

Brake_Torq 04-19-2004, 12:07 AM I do have a for-real question here, even though I doubt anybody will notice it in the middle of all this garbage, but...
Can you get that extra $1000 or $1500 bonus plus the supplier discount? It says "not valid with other private offers," so I thought that meant they couldn't go together. But, you can get the supplier discount plus the rebate ($2500), can't you? And then can you add the truckfest $1000?
Anyway, about how much, percentage wise, is the supplier discount? If Sunny4x4 got it down from 46,000 to 38,000, that would be about 17% off MSRP. Is that about what you could expect on other trucks?
Lawnboy 04-19-2004, 08:59 AM I highly recommend getting ahold og the GM discount when ya buy new.. we did, and it made a BIG difference!

Anyone else see a math problem here?
Lets take the trade-in out of the deal.....
$31,000 (final price) then add back in the $11,500 (trade in) = $42,500 Thats only $3,500 off sticker http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif
Then add the $2000 from the Truckfest and GM Cert Rebate and your dealer only came down $1500 from sticker.
Now granted, your saying it includes all tax, tags, title, and an extended warranty, but STILL....Doesn't look like much of a deal to me.
Here was my deal:
STICKER: $33,340
PURCHASE: $23,809 out the door.
Thats NO trade-in. Straight up.
Looking back, I still think I could have got him down another grand or so.
But thats still almost $10K off sticker. Just about 1/3 off without Tax, Tag, Title in the mix!

well i guess... but look... your STICKER PRICE was about $13,000 less than ours.. obviously we had more options
our trade in was also only quoted on Kelly Blue Book for $8400... and got $11.500
still thinking we didn't get ripped!

When we went to the dealer, they had the computer set up showing sticker price, then GM discounted price, so we didn't see an actual %.
