I need to change my u joints, and I plan to change them all at once. The forward most part of the driveshaft appears to be held in by a single bolt in the center of it. My question is, when I take this bolt out and remove the forward most part of the driveshaft from the tailshaft of the transmission, am I going to loose a ton of fluid? thanks

If you're talking about removing the fixed yoke from the tail housing the answer is no. You shouldn't lose any fluid.

But, you shouldn't have to remove it. The U-joint should come apart.

That's the one. I'll give it a shot. Thanks a bunch.
