Been searching, reading, and absorbing for some time now and thought I should introduce myself. I'm in North Texas and have a basically stock white '02 2500HD Duramax that I bought new (at 0% financing - thank you GM)
First off, I really like my truck and started out reluctant to change much beyond bed rails and step rails to spiff it up a bit. But then the small tires started nagging at me so I started looking at options - and that was when I found this site.
Holy Cow! You guys are a bad influence - so now I'm working a plan! (Don't tell the wife, Ok?) H2 wheels were first (with 285s or 315 coming when I wear the 265s out) next t overload springs are going to be yanked and replaced with air bags (I'm only thinking of your back, hunny.) ... and when the larger tires go on I'll need get a tuner (Honest hun, I NEED to adjust the speedometer so that the engine and transmission will work right - I can't help it that it boosts the power too.)
But right now I'm replacing the weenie stock horns with some beefier ones from a Cadillac..... but I'm rambling and just wanted to say hi. Later.
