I was wondering if anyone knew if mike is selling a kit for the do-it yourselfer to install that will work as well as it does in "casper". If mike does is their stages to his product and what are the costs for the kits.
I am at the point where my tranny is going into limp mode every time I accelerate at highway speeds I need to do my tranny. Any help pointing me in the right dirrection would be of great help and less damage to the wallet. thanks

Not trying to speak for Mike here, but I think those are kind of like trade secrets of his. I do not believe he sells his tricks that make casper shift so sweet.

Everything is available for a price :)

The hardware is only part of the problem. The other part is knowing what part of what hardware to use and how to put it all together.

Mike could hand me the box of parts he used to build Casper and I'm pretty sure all I'd have after a month would be a good-working Allison, but not Casper.

There may be some software voodoo going on... dunno.

The base for Casper is a Suncoast 4 kit. It was and is one of a kind. Caspers Ally always shifted well. Pat has used and maybe still uses Kennedys TCM to knock off better shifts. Pat claims it works. I withhold my opinion of it.( Yes I have experienced it ). Pat also uses the SC #57 converter which was developed on Casper. There will never be a kit for this for many reasons. I think the Ally I built for Big Blue is better than Caspers.( I know more now ) After race season I will pull Caspers trans down for evaluation and make it better than Big Blue. ( I will know more then ) This is fun.:D

Hey

I wanted to run Big Blue at the track yesterday. But since we had the hamsters and one broken car I didn't. I hope to get him to the track soon:D

SC kits will cost you the same no matter where you buy it. Call Suncoast, me or Eric. There are other SC dealers around the country, so pick the dealer you are comfortable with. :D

upinsmoke I ordered my kit (sc III) from Joe at suncoast. He was great to deal with, I had a few question after I got the kit and he had no problem helping me out. His number 1 800 868 0053, shipping to Alberta was $75.00 us.

Mike L how long does it take to have a SC IV done? I am saving my pennies for the kit. I would like you to do it. I live in Phx. so I would have to come out there and have you do it. I need to plan a vacation in you part of the world..

It was less than a full day for an SC III, tranny cooler and transfer case bracket. I got to watch everything...and I got out of having to ride Small World 100 times. ):h
