i only have the predator and like running it on the higher settings but my current deteriating clutch/flywheel cannot take it so it is at the 40hp setting. the only other thing i have doen to my truck is cut the muffler off and i plann on the 5" mbpr systerm later on.
i have to wate for a while because i don't have any money right now. i am trying to find a job, i graduate from Texas A&M in May. so when i get a job these are the first things i plan on doing.
i figure that the sbc dual disk puller is alittle over kill for what i want. i was thinking more on the lines ofthe single they are comingout with soon. but then i don't know much of what is out there for these trucks.
Thanks,
Robert

For the type of use you are explaining i would say that a good single disk kit is all youll need the sbc kit ,when released will be a good option, and there is the Macs single disk currently avaliable through crank it up diesel, hopefully the sbc single will be a bit cheaper though as all kits now single and dual are a bit over priced, depending on the price you might also want to cosider the sbc double disk street setup when its released, just incase you ever do want to add a little bit more power;)
Hope this helps,
Caleb

By the time you are ready, there should be many more of these in service so you should have a better idea of the pros and cons.
Mac's clutches have been around the longest for the Dmax. Time will tell on the SBC

the single disk and double disk street set up will still allow me to tow? i thought the double disk street was a non towing application.
Also i was wondering what is the estimated cost of the single disk setups? and if there what type of place should i get to do the insall if i order one? i would really like to find a dealer close to me to put this on so there will be no questioning if it was done right but i guess that might be hard to find.

You can tow with any setup even stock the only thing that kills them is power. And each different setup has it own limitations as far as power goes!

Towing is not a problem. I think sled pulling is what they recommend against.

That surely was not the case with mine. I had 3 stock dmf go out.......while useing ONLY stock power and towing.

I said that the only thing that kills them is power i did not say stock power was not enough to kill a stock clutch;)

Well if stock power will kill the clutch, there is a definite problem, and it is the POS flywheel.
