Here is the situation. I am a relatively new owner of a 2003 GMC Duramax. It has about 15K miles. One day I was driving on the freeway and it died on me. I was running low on gas (about 45 miles remaining as indicated on the computer). Roadside assistance added about as 5 gallons of gas. They primed it but it would not hold. It was towed to a local dealer. After about 3 days there, they concluded that it was just a clogged fuel filter. They replaced it and it ran fine. Yesterday (just a month later) it died again. It is now at another dealer. They claim it is the injectors!
Question 1: Does this sound right. If the infectors are bad, will it die while driving? Again, I had about 45 mile remaining. I want to make sure this will fix it. I have a long trip planned and do not want it to die again.
Question 2: To prime it, do you need to loosen the bleeder screw?
I really appreciate the help.
