Does anybody know the gear ratios for the 700R4? I mean the ratio of the input shaft to the output shaft in each gear.

I am trying to figure what is going to be a "safe" max speed in each gear, and I am also trying to figure out what RPM my truck is running while just cruising...

Thanks!

Time for you to add a Tachometer;)

Yeah! It is! I just have to measure my tires now... I must have measured them wrong, because it came up with 1750 RPM @ 65 MPH, 3000 RPM @ 111 MPH!

That is something I have been considering. I have read most of the other threads on tachometers, and it sounds rather simple. I am considering adding one, but I don't know if I'll ever get around to it. I just bought a new dirtbike that needs a top end overhaul... You know how that goes.

adding a tach is pretty simple. just buy it and maybe 30 minutes later youre done. if you pretty sure your idle speed is still factory set, set it by that and be done.
