Changed the rear differential fluid last weekend...now there's a very slight leak from the drain plug which I didn't use any thread sealant on. Torque supposed to be around 24 lb ft for the plug, but I had to snug it up pretty tight tonite to see if the dribble stops. Does the drain plug need teflon paste on the threads? Hope not as I'll have to drain and fill again.

Thanks in advance.

I changed mine and just reinstalled the plug, no teflon tape, no pipe sealant. OBTW, no leaks.

You need a new washer. Same thing happed to me and that's what I did to stop the leak.
