Have a GMC 04 2500HD LT with the single CD/cassette head, factory XM. The Head unit looks exactly like the Denali H.U., with the CD changer controls (buttons 1-6, etc), but there is presently no changer, (like most LT's where the changer is built into the HU). The Denali has the CD changer remotely located underneath the dash. That's what I want. I want to pick up one of these and install it in the same place. Whala, a Denali cd configuration.


Does anybody know if there is a problem with this thinking, and what exact connector do I need? Will it connect to the back of the stock HU, or somewhere else?

I have a 6 disk that is aftermarket, but runs off the factory headunit. USA is the brand IIRC. It comes with a really long cable so you could mount it anywhere. I put mine in my console for accessability. Talk to your parts guy at the stealer.

I really want mine in the center stand, a smarter place to fiddle with when driving.


Do you have controls at the steering wheel with your aftermarket?
