Never do that ,don't waste your hard earned money on this setup....
mine lasted only 18.000 miles with no symptoms ,6.000 miles with the SES light ,codes 35 and 36 appearing all the time until it finally stalled...Now the truck is parked on my garage waiting for a new PMD and a extended wiring harness ...I will try installing this one behind the license plate.

That's how mine is right now....that is until I get around to making an extension harness....then its getting mounted on a peltier junction in my cab...

have you tried to retorque the driver nuts, it may be injured but not fully broken, I would not trust it for daily driving, but would make a handy spare just in case, the new remote mount ever lets you down.
