Guys I have an 02 with 217K. Runs great, but smokes a bit at idle only after it gets warmed up and it also seems a bit louder then. I have a friend who thinks there may be a cracked injector tip which opens when it gets warmed up. Is there a chance the pump may be weak some other problem? Also anyone have any idea what it costs to have balance rates checked?

If you do a search for smoke and injectors then you will find more info than you ever wanted to know about a DMAX injector. Your symptoms are pretty classic for injector failure and when you do a search on here you will know exactly whats wrong. As for getting your balance rates checked, im sure that if you go see your dealer and are cool with them and ask for a quick session with their Tech 2, they might not charge you (especially if you tell them you will let them do the work if it is injector).
